Kerry Kirkpatrick received her BFA in Digital Art at BGSU in 2016 and has been active since then in international and local arts and technology communities. She exhibits artwork across the nation and online internationally. She is an educator at heart and teaches private lessons and drawing classes at Toledo Chinese School. Her M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education gives her knowledge about cultural sensitivity and helps her facilitate inclusive learning activities for everyone. She also speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese and uses it daily. Kerry has a passion for cross-cultural communication and community enrichment.
Kerry combines multiple disciplines in her work, including digital painting, illustration, photography, photo transfers and manipulation, and traditional mediums like printmaking, collage, and acrylic painting. Graphic design plays a huge role in her work as it helps people connect with the work through both visuals and text.
Her interdisciplinary skill-set—combining art, design, and technology—makes her a unique and essential contributor to the many organizations she serves. Kerry’s love for digital art led her to become active in the prestigious international organization ACM SIGGRAPH, for whom she serves as the Visual Designer for the ACM SIGGRAPH Professional and Student Chapters Committee.
